The Board comprises the following members:

One Councillor appointed by each Council
One senior Officer appointed by each Council

Library Board members for 2008 are:

Acting Chief Executive Officer: Sally Armistead
Colac Otway: Councillor Peter Mercer Chairman; Colin Hayman (General Manager Corporate and Community Services)
Corangamite: Councillor Jim O’Brien; Trevor Greenberger (Manager – Recreation, Culture and Community Facilities)
Moyne: Councillor Dianne Clanchy; Craig Ralston (Acting Director Community and Corporate Services)
Warrnambool: Councillor Adrian Jacobs; Paul O’Brien (Director – Resident Services)

The role of the Board is to set policy and undertake strategic planning from a regional perspective, as well as from the perspective of the member council represented.

The Board members report to their respective councils.

The CEO appointed by the Board is to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, administer the delivery of library services across the region. The CEO advises, assists and supports the Board in its work, with particular emphasis on policy development and strategic planning .
