National Simultaneous Storytime comes to Corangamite Regional Libraries

Image of the picture book Arthur

On Wednesday 21 May 2008 a number of Corangamite Regional Libraries will join organisations from Broome to Hobart, reading the picture book Arthur to more than a quarter of a million Australian children. Further to this we suggest you check below to see where there is a storytime near you.

Now in its eighth successful year, National Simultaneous Storytime 2008 aims to celebrate and acknowledge the vital work being done in libraries, schools and communities around Australia to develop young people's literacy and numeracy skills.

The event has been organised by the Australian Library and Information Association, to promote the value of reading and literacy, the importance of Australia's book industry and the role of libraries.

In 2008 Arthur will be celebrating 20 years of paperback publication.

Arthur is written by Amanda Graham, illustrated by Donna Gynell and published by Era Publications.
